Standing water throughout this Mauna Lani condo
A fridge ice-maker line failed and filled the whole lower level of this condo close to an inch of water. Mold testing was done when we completed the mitigation and dry out and the property passed without having to do any further remediation. Fridges are a very frequent reason for flooding, soft as we call it, those water lines age quickly and the fittings start to leak. It is not the most convenient item to check but together with washer lines it should be checked annually and replaced every 4-5 years as recommended by the manufacturer. Those are very inexpensive parts but the potential mitigation is the very opposite.
