Fire Affected Apartment before and after mitigation

When fire affects the home it is a very long and tiring process. Usually, it also involves a lot of demolition and reconstruction. In this scenario, pictured before and after above, the apartment in Kailua Kona was affected by fire, soot covered everything inside. As you can see on the pictures, everything needed to be striped to bare structure. The wooden structure itself, was power washed, sanitized and painted with shellac paint to trap the remaining odors inside. Personal belongings that were not solids, which are impossible to clean, were discarded and only some solid surfaces were cleaned and saved.
